Effect of developmental supportive care training program on nurses’ practice regarding behavioral response of premature neonates

Background: Survival rate of premature neonates has increased due to the technological advances in medical care. Developmental care interventions may help preterm cope better with environment Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide healthy developmental outcomes.The study was aimed: evaluate effect supportive training program on nurses’ practice regarding behavioral response neonates.Subjects method: A convenience sampling fifty nurses who were responsible for providing nursing included study, also, all receiving Three tools used collect data: Structured interview schedule, Nurses Supportive using an observational checklist, Observational checklist assess nurse's neonates.The results: revealed that there statistically significant difference levels total 'knowledge between before, immediate, after one month a program.The concluded: had positive knowledge as well their perceived self-competence evidenced improved oxygen saturation, regulate heart respiration.The recommended: application administrative policy procedures developmentally high-risk are needed incorporate neonatal intensive units design.
